Slumbercare Bedding is an Australian, family owned and operated business with the owners boasting over 80 years combined industry experience. 

We proudly produce quality Australian made products and supplement this range with quality imported bedding products.  Slumbercare Bedding has supplied quality mattresses and bedding products at sensible prices to South East Australian retailers since 1996. Our products are made to quality standards, are supplied for domestic and commercial markets in South East Australia as well as export markets.

At Slumbercare Bedding it is our mission to create and supply products and services to our high standards for quality, reliability and value. We strive for each product to be best-in-class and to provide our customers with friendly, professional service.

The beginningsCOMPANY HISTORY

In 1996, when a tweet was the sound a bird makes, Slumbercare Bedding was launched as a new bedding manufacturer. A lot has changed since then, but we are proud of our beginnings and how far we have come.

1996

Slumbercare Bedding begins

In a modest factory in Cheltenham, Victoria and with a small amount of plant and equipment, Slumbercare Bedding commenced manufacturing operations and selling to retailers in South East Australia.
1998

New brand - Therapedic

Proudly signing the Therapedic license for Victoria and Tasmania in 1998 set Slumbercare Bedding on the path of a long term relationship with Therapedic; extended in 2001 and 2011 to ACT, NSW, and South Australia.
1999

New brand - Sleep Australasia

The brainchild of Slumbercare Bedding, Sleep Australasia was the first of our brands and the most successful and long standing.
2000

Expansion

Growth drove the need to move to larger premises and in April 2000, Slumbercare Bedding moved to Oakleigh South, Victoria.
2004

Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation donation program

A donation on sale program commenced with Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation for sales of the Kidz Beds mattress that has been ongoing ever since.
2005

Manufacturing in China

Work on an import program since 2000 came to fruition in 2005 when Slumbercare Bedding entered into business partnership to manufacture in Guangzhou, China.
2007

Starlight Children’s Foundation donation program

A donation on sale program commenced with Starlight Children’s Foundation for sales of the Factory Direct Kidz Support mattress.
2013

Expansion to new premises

Further growth and the need for updated facilities compelled the move to larger premises and in August 2013, Slumbercare Bedding moved to its current location in Braeside, Victoria.
2017

21 year old make-over

In April 2017 Slumbercare Bedding proudly celebrated 21 years since commencing operations. This anniversary prompted an update to the business look and websites.

Established in 1977 the Australian Spinal Research Foundation is internationally the largest chiropractic research funding organisation. Proudly supporting the chiropractic profession through research, investigating the vertebral subluxation.

The AFA is the peak industry organisation representing Australian and international members spanning national and global markets. The AFA is committed to helping members businesses with a focus on building competitive and sustainable business models.
